Massage therapy is a regulated profession in BC, and as an evidence based medical modality, it can be covered by most major health insurance companies.
The body has an amazing ability to heal itself, and massage is a powerful tool to help facilitate that healing. Everyone can benefit from massage; from rehabilitation to relaxation, and everything in between.
Danielle is an RMT, originally from the Okanagan, and after living abroad for a few years, she settled in Victoria where she graduated from the 2200 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She has always had an interest in health, wellness and movement, leading her to explore yoga, dance, nutrition and herbal medicine, but was drawn to massage therapy after receiving treatment and realizing the many benefits it brings.
She is a firm believer in the effect massage has on the nervous system, and its benefits towards the mind and mental health, as well as the physical body. She strives to bring a sense of calm relaxation to every treatment, while helping clients reach their individual therapeutic goals. She aims to cultivate a safe, comfortable, healing environment.
She places emphasis on a client-centered approach to treatment, and knows how important it is to listen to each and every person and what they are seeking through massage therapy.
Danielle enjoys treating a variety of issues and has taken a continuing education course on pregnancy massage, as she had developed a special interest in prenatal and postpartum care during her own pregnancy. She is passionate about continually learning and growing in her practice. Outside of the clinic you can find her in the yoga studio or outside exploring nature through the eyes of her young daughter.
